Teapot by Laura Peery

Laura Peery's handmade teapots reflect her interest in the soft nature of clay. Choosing porcelain for it's fine, delicate texture, Laura creates each piece as if from a dressmaker's pattern, rolling thin slabs of clay which she impresses with fabric and lace. The pieces are colored with ceramic  stains and underglazes, fired, then embellished with materials chosen for contrast and a sense of surprise.The interior is glazed so it holds the possibility of function.
